Reels@Wehl is Mount Gambier's official film society and a member of the Community Film Societies (previously the Federation of the Victorian Film Societies) whose patron is David Stratton from ABC's 'At the Movies'.
Members enjoy the ambience of the historic Wehl Street Theatre to view a range of film genres in the company of people who appreciate quality films, socialising with pre-screening glass of wine and a chat. It's easy to become a member and everyone's welcome.
The film society is run by volunteers and is an incorporated not-for-profit organisation under Lime Stones Inc. We volunteer our time so the rural/regional community in which we live has access to non-mainstream films on the big screen.
Objectives of Film Societies around the world - to encourage interest in film as an art and as a medium of information and education by means of the exhibition of films of all kinds.
